Influencer Busted For Covid-19 Relief Money On A Bentley And More

Daniela Rendon, a Miami real estate broker and influencer, was recently arrested for fraudulently using COVID-19 relief funds to fund her lavish lifestyle. She was given $381,000 from the Small Business Administration and Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) but instead of using the cash to keep her legitimate employees afloat, she used it for personal gain and splurged it on herself, her family and friends. She used the money to lease a 2021 Bentley Bentayga, rent an expensive apartment, and buy designer shoes and cosmetic procedures. She also regularly posted pictures of her opulent lifestyle on her social media profiles, which she has since deleted. Rendon was charged with seven counts of wire fraud and money laundering, which could result in up to 20 years in prison. A judge set her bond at $150,000 and she will now fight the charges against her.
